Waiting for Snow

We’ve been waiting for snow all day.  This will be the fourth snowfall of the winter, after an unusually cold and snowy December that culminated in six inches Christmas night.  This photo was taken the next day.  The Raleigh area doesn’t usually get  much snow, which is good because we don’t handle it well.  We had 18 inches in 2000 and it shut us down for a week!  Oddly,  our weather doesn’t come across the mountains — it comes up from Atlanta.  If Atlanta has ice or snow, the odds are high that we will too.
